Labyrinth of Death | Prologue

Prologue

  “M’lord?”
The Sith Lord turned, his dark eyes narrow. “Yes, Lord Necus?”
“We have an issue.” Darth Necus clasped his gloved hands behind his back. “Borj Throdin is on Glewthon.”
“The ice moon?” The Sith Lord shook his head. “That should not be an issue.”
“He has taken possession of the Inmar Corporation wampa labyrinth there, m’lord. As—”
The Sith Lord held up a hand. Turned and stared at the window. Through the crystal panes, the landscape of Korriban was visible, the bleak rock whipped by harsh winds. “Inmar. Inmar. Again, Inmar gives another resource to the enemy. Borj Throdin, you are creating quite a problem for me.”
  “M’lord?”
  “Speak, Necus.”
“Lord Radoth has volunteered to hunt out Throdin.”
A sigh that was more like a hiss sounded. “I am not a crime lord, Necus. Tell that to Radoth and say   I’m not paying him for this. He can keep all the loot he gets.”
“Yes, m’lord.” Necus bowed and spun.
  “Necus!”
  “M’lord?”
“Send an assassin to kill any one—ONE—of the Inmar Corporation managers. They need some reflection on their actions.”
“Yes, m’lord.” Necus bowed again and left the room.
The Sith Lord gazed out through the window a while longer. A smile twisted his face. A spark glinted in his eyes. “Let’s see how well you play against Radoth, Borj.”

  1. Ooh, I like it, Dmitri. :) Nice characters. And good dialogue. I'm interested to see where Barras comes in.

    1. Thanks! This is ten years earlier, so the unnamed Sith Lord is not Inir Tarath.

Barras will be in the next part and most of the parts after that.

    2. Cool! :) I haven't gotten to know Barras very much, so I'm interested to see what his personality is like.
